Does it notify family when I arrive safely?
Yes. Start a journey to a destination and your chosen people get a live link plus an 'arrived safely' notification when you get there. Arrival processing runs on our servers, so it depends on connectivity and notification delivery.
What happens in an emergency?
SOS alerts your active crew and opens a pre-filled text you send to your emergency contacts — NAVTRL does not send it for you, and SOS does not reach anyone outside that crew or contact emergency services. Check-in timers and a dead-man switch escalate to your crew and chosen recipients by push and email if you don't respond.
