How to Change a Crew Join Code

Short answer

Open the Crew, choose CHANGE or SET beside CREW CODE, enter 4–20 letters or numbers, and save. Clearing a code is a separate deliberate action.

Steps

  1. Open CREWS and select the Crew.
  2. Tap CHANGE or SET.
  3. Enter the memorable code and tap SAVE.

How this works

There are two kinds of code. The persistent one is the Crew's canonical code, which members can see and share; temporary codes are separate, expire on their own, and can be revoked.

Changing the persistent code invalidates every link that carried the old one and then locks the code for 90 days. Expired or revoked temporary codes carry a 30-day cooldown of their own, so codes are not something to cycle casually.

Only a Crew admin can change the code, and it is normalized to uppercase letters and numbers when saved.

What happens next

New shared links carry the current code, and the previous code stops resolving. Older codes should not be treated as current.
