How to Join a Crew
Open CREWS, choose Join a Crew, enter the code you were given, and tap ASK TO JOIN. You normally appear only after a Crew admin approves the request.
Steps
- Open the map drawer and choose CREWS.
- Choose Join a Crew.
- Enter the 4–20 character code.
- Tap ASK TO JOIN.
- Wait for an admin to approve you.
How this works
Entering a code does not add you to anything. It resolves a preview — Crew name, canonical code, whether the code is persistent or temporary, expiry, and whether the Crew is full — and then submits a request an owner or admin has to accept.
A wrong code and a disabled code deliberately return the same message, so guessing at codes reveals nothing about which Crews exist.
Codes are 4 to 20 letters and numbers and are normalized to uppercase, and submitting the request is a server write that needs connectivity.
What happens next
After approval, the Crew appears in Your Crews and can be selected from the map header. Approval does not make you Live; that is still your choice per Crew.
Common problems
- A wrong code and a disabled code intentionally show the same message.
- The request needs connectivity.
- A Crew already at its member limit cannot take you until an admin makes room or the plan limit changes.
