What Does Dark Mean?
Dark stops new current-location updates to the selected Crew. Viewers keep the last location STALKR was authorized to share, marked offline/stale according to current state; Dark does not erase that history and does not stop a separately shared Journey.
Steps
- Select the intended Crew.
- Open the map drawer.
- Tap GO DARK / STEALTH.
How this works
Dark stops new fixes; it is not a deletion. The last position you were authorized to share stays with the Crew, labelled offline or stale by age, because removing it would hide that you were somewhere rather than protect where you are now.
The choice is per Crew and does not touch a Journey. If you are sharing a Journey, ending it is a separate action with its own control.
Made without connectivity, the local state changes immediately but the Crew may not receive the offline write until the device can reach the service again.
What happens next
The saved change appears in the relevant map, library, or sharing scope when the service confirms it.

- Without connectivity, the local choice changes but the Crew may not immediately receive the offline write.
- Dark in one Crew leaves your other Crews and any active Journey exactly as they were.
