How to Find a Crew Member
Select the correct Crew, then tap the member marker or use the visible Crew/member controls to open their card. The marker’s timestamp and presence label tell you whether the point is current.
Steps
- Switch to the Crew the person belongs to.
- Find and tap their map marker.
- Check Live/stale/unknown and last update before relying on it.
How this works
You can only see members of the selected Crew, and only those currently publishing to it. Crew isolation is enforced by the data policy rather than by the map, so someone in another Crew is not hidden — they are out of scope.
The card carries what you need to judge the point: last update time, presence state, accuracy, direction when the heading is trustworthy, and battery when the device reports it.
A missing direction cone means the heading was not trustworthy. That is deliberate, and more useful than an arrow confidently pointing the wrong way.
What happens next
Their marker and card update as new positions arrive over the Crew's realtime subscription.
Common problems
- A Dark member, or one without a successful recent write, has no current position to show.
- Crew isolation prevents members of another Crew from appearing here.
- Distance from you needs your own location; without it that figure cannot be calculated.
