How the Self Marker Works

Short answer

Your self marker uses the local GPS fix. Its halo shows accuracy and its arrow shows device-facing direction only when STALKR has a trustworthy compass heading.

Steps

  1. Allow location access.
  2. Tap recenter to focus your current fix.
  3. Move the phone in a figure eight if the compass needs calibration.

What happens next

The saved change appears in the relevant map, library, or sharing scope when the service confirms it.

Common problems

  • Indoor GPS may be imprecise.
  • No arrow is more accurate than a fabricated north-facing arrow when heading is invalid.

Questions this answers

  • Why is my direction not updating?
  • What is the circle around me?
