Why STALKR Needs Background Location

Short answer

Always/background location lets STALKR continue eligible Crew sharing, Track recording, Zone transitions, and Marker arrivals while the screen is locked or the app is backgrounded. OS limits and force-quit still apply.

Steps

  1. Allow location while using the app first.
  2. When you need background behavior, grant Always access in the prompt or system Settings.
  3. Do not force-quit during an active field workflow.

What happens next

The saved change appears in the relevant map, library, or sharing scope when the service confirms it.

Common problems

  • Check that you selected the intended Crew or Journey scope.
  • If the action writes data, confirm the device has connectivity and try once more.
