How to Delete a Route
Short answer
Open the Route details or library, choose Delete, and confirm. Its line and Route-owned Checkpoints are removed; the original Track and original Checkpoints remain.

- Open the Route.
- Choose Delete route.
- Confirm the named Route.
How this works
Deleting a Route removes its line and the Route-owned copies of its Checkpoints. The Track it was promoted from, and that Track's own Checkpoints, are untouched.
If you only want the line off the map, turn off Show on map or hide the Routes & Checkpoints layer. Both are reversible; deletion is not.
Deletion is a server write and is not queued: if it fails, the Route remains in the library.
What happens next
The Route leaves your library. The Track it came from stays in Track history and can be promoted again.
Common problems
- Deleting a Route does not delete the Track it came from.
- Hiding is the reversible option; deleting is not.
