How to Remove a Route From the Map Without Deleting It
Short answer
Open the Route details and turn off Show on map, or use the Route library visibility control. This keeps the Route in your library.

- Open the Route library.
- Use the eye/visibility control for that Route.
What happens next
The saved change appears in the relevant map, library, or sharing scope when the service confirms it.
Common problems
- A Route you are actively following stays visible until you tap STOP FOLLOWING.
- The global Routes & Checkpoints layer can also hide all non-followed Routes.
