How to Rename a Route

Short answer

Open the Route details, choose Rename, enter the new name, and save.

Steps

  1. Open the Route.
  2. Tap Rename.
  3. Enter the name and tap Save.

What happens next

The saved change appears in the relevant map, library, or sharing scope when the service confirms it.

Common problems

  • Renaming the Route does not rename the Track it was promoted from.
  • A rename is a remote write like any other change; if it fails, the previous name stays.
