How to Change Your Profile Photo
Short answer
Open Settings → Edit Profile, choose the profile-photo action, then capture or select an image and save/upload it.
Steps
- Open Settings.
- Tap EDIT PROFILE.
- Tap the avatar/photo action.
- Choose Camera or Photo Library and complete the upload.
How this works
Your avatar is identity rather than a shared file. It appears wherever your account participates, including on your marker in the Crews you belong to.
The upload is a foreground server operation. Camera access is requested only when you capture and photo-library read only when you choose an image, and a failed upload leaves the previous photo in place rather than clearing it.
An image that cannot be loaded is suppressed rather than retried forever, so a missing avatar usually means an upload never succeeded rather than that it was removed.
What happens next
The new avatar is refreshed for Crew views once the upload succeeds.
Common problems
- Camera/library permission is required for that source.
- A failed upload leaves the previous photo in place.
- Uploading requires connectivity and is not queued for later.
