How to Finish a Track
Tap Stop in the Track HUD. Review the recording, then choose SAVE TRACK, SAVE AS ROUTE, or the two-step DISCARD action. The review cannot be dismissed without choosing an outcome.

- Tap the stop icon.
- Review distance, time, movement, shape, and quality.
- Choose SAVE TRACK, SAVE AS ROUTE, or DISCARD and confirm.
How this works
The review cannot be dismissed without an outcome, because the alternative is losing a recording by swiping a sheet away. DISCARD is deliberately two steps for the same reason.
SAVE AS ROUTE does both things at once: the Track stays in history and a separate Route is created with its own copied Checkpoints. A Route is never created for you when a Track ends.
Distance, moving time, rest time, and the quality diagnostics come from the points actually recorded, so a Track with gaps reports what it captured rather than interpolating over them.
What happens next
Saved Tracks appear in Track history and can be converted to a Route later from Routes → TRACKS.
Common problems
- A Track with poor coverage reports what it recorded; the gaps are not filled in.
- Finishing is a server write and needs connectivity.
