How to Turn a Track into a Route
Finish the Track and choose SAVE AS ROUTE, or open the Track later from Routes → TRACKS and choose Save as Route. Name the Route and save it.
Steps
- Finish or open a completed Track.
- Choose SAVE AS ROUTE.
- Confirm the Route name.
- Tap SAVE ROUTE.
How this works
Promotion copies rather than moves. The Route gets its own geometry and its own Checkpoints, and the original Track and its Checkpoints are untouched, so renaming or deleting the Route later leaves the recording intact.
This is the only way Routes are created. STALKR does not draw, import, optimize, or plan a Route, so a path you never walked cannot become one.
Following the Route afterwards gives progress along that line — distance remaining, off-route state, and the next numbered Checkpoint — which is not turn-by-turn road navigation.
What happens next
The Track stays in history. The new Route has its own copied Checkpoints and can be shown or followed independently.
Common problems
- A Route is not created automatically when a Track finishes.
- Editing the Route's copied Checkpoints does not change the Track's originals.
