How to Edit a Zone
Tap the Zone on the map, open its details, change supported name, appearance, monitoring, visibility, member applicability, or alert settings, and save.

- Make sure Zones are visible in Map Layers.
- Tap the Zone and open details.
- Change the desired settings and save.
How this works
Editing changes the Zone for the whole Crew, not just your map. Appearance, visibility, monitoring, applicable members, and the Enter and Leave alert toggles are separate fields, saved as one server write.
Turning monitoring off stops evaluation while keeping the Zone. Turning the Zones layer off in Map Layers only stops drawing it, which is the control people usually reach for by mistake.
A Zone you cannot see on the map can still be monitored, so check Map Layers before concluding a Zone was removed.
What happens next
The updated settings propagate to the Crew over its realtime subscription once the save succeeds.
Common problems
- Hiding the Zones layer is not the same as turning monitoring off.
- Changes need connectivity and are not queued if the write fails.
